Day by day

Day 1 : Baltra Airport & Mosquera

AM: Baltra Airport

Arrival at Baltra Airport, our National Park naturalist guide will meet you there.

Mosquera

Mosquera is a barren, rocky sandbar with scattered plants that are salt resistant. As you walk the beach, enjoy watching playful sea lions playing in the surf and tide pools. You can often see endemic lava-gulls flying along the shore in search of food.

Snorkeling: You can snorkel on the northern end of the island, or one of the smaller beaches that are located in the protected side.

Day 2 : Sullivan Bay & Bartolome

AM: Sullivan Bay

The hike will help you understand the origins of these islands. The lava flow is very well preserved, giving you the chance to observe the fine textures and patterns of this type of lava that only appears in certain places around the globe. The barren landscape appears to be devoid of any life at first, but if you look closely, there are lava lizards, small birds, and pioneer plants. You can see penguins and pelicans along the coast.

Snorkeling: You can choose to snorkel or swim from either the coral-sand beaches or dinghies. Underwater, it's like exploring a different world. If the land seems almost dead, you can find rays, Galapagos Penguins, sharks, turtles, and large schools of tropical fish.

PM: Bartolome

Bartolome, located in northern Isabela Island and next to a beautiful peach-colored sand beach is a great place for viewing penguins. Pinnacle Rock is located on the north side of the Island, next to the beautiful beach of peach-colored sand.

You will be rewarded with a spectacular view of lunar landscapes and volcanic cones. This view allows you to see many islands, the Pinnacle Rock and bay of Sullivan.

Snorkeling: From the beach, you can choose to snorkel or swim. The area has a reputation as one of the most popular snorkeling spots in Galapagos. This is not just because the water there is clear, calm and inviting, but because you can also find penguins in this region.
